MSC Splendida is the second ship in MSC Cruises’ entirely new Fantasia class — the largest and most innovative ships ever built by the Italy-based line. Splendida launched in July 2009.
The ship has 18 decks and 1637 cabins, is 333 metres long and 67 metres wide.
MSC Cruises has always been sensitive to environmental issues and MSC Splendida is at the cutting edge ecologically. It is equipped with the most innovative technological systems to guarantee savings in energy and protection of the environment, such as the water processing systems. All of this ensures that MSC Splendida may boast the title of ECO SHIP.
The ship is being touted as the most beautiful cruise ship in the world and this claim is substantiated with each of the 72 steps in the reception area glittering with Swarovski crystals worth $40,000. That would make the entire staircase studded with crystals worth $2.8million in total!
MSC Cruises has laid out a 6-star service for highly-demanding guests who enjoy the pleasures of life with the MSC Yacht Club, a VIP area complete with 99 spacious suites and 24 hour butler service. In the Top Sail Lounge, with its Skydome, guests may also delight their palate under a dome of sparkling stars.
MSC Cruises has several seven- and 11-night Mediterranean itineraries on MSC Splendida, including ports in Italy, France, Spain, Tunisia, Malta, Greece, Israel and Egypt. Prices start from $1,070 a person (conditions apply) in an inside cabin. The MSC bonus is children always cruise free.
