Currently under construction at Gentech Yachts’ Antalya, Turkey shipyard is the 46-metre Soroya 46, due to be completed in time for the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show. Jure Bukavec of UNIELLé yacht design did the interiors while Italy’s Meccano Engineering handled the naval architecture. Enterior desing is a piece of art and was the task for Ales Bratina.
Hydraulics are a key component of the luxury craft, which features both a pop-up helipad and a swimming pad that unfolds to double in size. This yacht has been designed as an ocean-going, twin engine motor yacht with a displacement hull for offshore and worldwide cruising. The Soroya 46 achieves a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots with a range of 5,040 nautical miles at cruising speed.
A silent yet sturdy vessel, it boasts of a strong steel hull and zero-speed stabilizers paired with soundproofing to keep everything exceedingly tranquil onboard. There is also a special night mode that relies on battery powered system to ensure silence at night.
Sure to be a showstopper, this boat is equipped with underwater LED lighting making her a spectacular sight to behold at night. There are accommodations for 12 passengers in six staterooms along with nine crew members, channeled through special passages designed to keep the help from intruding into the guest areas any more than necessary while allowing them to do their duty. The fascinating beauty that is the Soroya 46 promises have four deck.
MAIN DECK:
From the aft deck, there is a spacious, welcoming Outer Salon with access to the Main Salon and Dining Room for twelve guests. Forward to starboard is the foyer with a staircase leading to the Guest Quarters on the Lower Deck and the Pilothouse and Upper Salon on the Bridge Deck.
To port is the pantry leading to the very large and professional galley with a cold room. The Galley has direct access to the Crew Quarters and to the Pilothouse.
Forward to starboard of the foyer is the Owner’s Office with private access to the Owner’s Quarters. The full beam Owner’s Suite has a king-size bed facing aft to the plasma screen television and the suite features a large walk-in wardrobe and a palatial ensuite head. An L-shaped sofa with coffee table to starboard and a large vanity to port complete the layout.
LOWER DECK:
From the Floyer on Main Deck the central stairs provide access to two large VIP Staterooms to port and starboard with ensuite head with a separate stall shower. Aft and again to port and starboard are two additonal Guest Stateroom with twin beds and a Pullman. Each features an ensuite head with shower.
Forward of the Guest Quarters, a storage room provides direct access to the Crew Quarters for service to the Guest Cabins. The Crew Quarters include a Crew Mess with dinette seating for nine, a Crew Galley and four Crew Cabins with upper and lower bunks, each with ensuite head and shower for a total of eight berths.
UPPER DECK:
From the After Deck forward is a full-beam Upper Salon including an entertainment corner to starboard and two game tables to port. A bar facing aft is fitted with a dumb waiter for service form the Galley.
The After Deck features an outside dining table which seats twelve guests as well as a generous seating area.
Forward of the salon is the stairwell from the Main Deck, the Captain’s Cabin and Pilothouse – all strategically located to ensure efficient control and management of the Vessel.
The captain’s cabin is located aft and to port of the pilothouse and features a queen-size bed, office and ensuite head.
SUN DECK:
The Sun Deck provides four different areas: The sun bathing area aft with four (4) large chaise lounges; a bar area fitted with appropriate appliances and stools; built-in sofas for up to sixteen guests; and the Jacuzzi for six.
