Who else but a Russian oligarch would order up a 72-metre steel superyacht from a Turkish shipyard, hire a decorator from Monaco to fit it out like a floating bordello, tack on not one but two helipads, name the damn thing after a famed Moscow landmark, Red Square – and then turn around and try to sell it again for €63.5 million ($86.2 million) before even taking delivery?

A 72 meter steel superyacht from Turkish shipyard, Dunya Yachts, designed by Diana Scott from the Monaco based studio Sterling Scott with naval architecture by Taka Yachts and interior flourishes by that master of overstatement Alberto Pint, the Red Square yacht is one exquisite beauty. The interior of superyacht immerse in the atmosphere of a luxury beach house on water. This effect is achieved by the use of large areas of natural woods set against touches of extravagant luxury; simple against sophisticated; monotone against colourful.
Large enough to accommodate 16 guests in its state of the art luxury rooms, this superyacht features two helipads, an infinity pool, Jacuzzi, and massive exterior entertaining spaces.

On the exterior, one of the main features has to be the large wet-edge ‘infinity’ pool located at the aft of the main deck. Below the pool, is large space to host the Red Square’s main tenders. According to the design, they will be moved through bottom-hinged garage doors.
The exterior decks play host to a range of outdoor furniture for the total enjoyment of clement weather. The aft upper deck draws guests to dine, al-fresco style around a large round table. On the sun deck, a stroll through the mast arrangement will take you to the built-in large jacuzzi that is surrounded by sun beds. Powered by twin 3,150 hp Caterpillar diesels, the Red Square achieves a maximum speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of 4,200 nautical miles at cruising speed.
That’s the story about Dunya Yacht’s Red Square, which is now being offered at that eye-popping price with delivery slated for 2011.
