Jason Carrington, a professional yachtsman and boatbuilder based in Lymington, UK, has collaborated with Humphreys Yacht Design and created an amazing new jet boat called the C-12. Looking like a cross between a torpedo boat and a Stealth bomber, the new C-12 boat by C-Boat, is one gorgeous baby that works like a jet ski and is able to go places other boats cannot, all thanks to its jets and the hull with an impressive performance.
Handmade from a Nomex honey comb core shrouded in carbon fibre, the lightweight, high-performance craft has the maneuverability of a jetski thanks to adjustable twin impellers or water jets which take in water via a grille in front and eject it in back, creating thrust. With a dry weight of 1,200kg, when it comes to speed, the C-12 is licensed to thrill, with its twin Steyr MO236 diesel engines powering the two 230 Alamarin water jets to offer speeds of up to 45 knots in smooth water, and a range of 700 miles, the 30-ft. boat is the lightest and strongest in its class.
The powerful boat can not only accelerate and turn, but is also able to move sideways and spin. Boasting a very masculine design, the C-12 has hand-stitched leather and slick cockpit mountings. Utmost attention has been paid to every single detail in the making. The bows have a cabin with a double berth, lavatory, galley and wine rack. Carrington plans to build only four boats every year. In the future, we might also see its 44-ft version. Priced at £300,000 (about $455,000) it is the best your money can buy.
