Hublot is joining the Mexican people in celebrating the 200th anniversary of their independence, with a limited edition King Power in the national colours, featuring the symbol of the ‘Bell of Dolores’ engraved on the case-back. History tells that in 1810 the local priest of Dolores, Miguel Hidalgo y Castillo, called on the villagers by ringing the bells of his parish to revolt against the Spanish, with the famous “Cry of Dolores”, an exhortation to fight the Spanish government to win national independence. The revolt of Dolores triggered a wave of revolution throughout the country, thereby marking the first step towards its independence.

The limited edition of 200 pieces will be divided up into 50 pieces in 18k ‘King gold’ and 150 pieces in black ceramic. The watch is based on the brand’s King Power chronograph timepiece, that is 48mm wide with Hublot’s HUB4201 automatic movement inside.
Anyone can see the obvious use of colors from the Mexican flag on the dials of the watches, and the gold version gets a pretty cool green and black toned, alligator and rubber strap. Boasting of a 42 hour power reserve, this patriotic timepiece is an exceptional creation.
