Probably one of the most fruitful partnerships in this field of watch manufacturing, TAG Heuer and Porsche Club of America, the largest single-brand car club in the world (100,000+ members), bring on the market an extremely desirable timepiece for the collectors, a watch that puts together the elegance representative of TAG Heuer and the sportiness of Porsche Club of America into creating this amazing Limited Edition TAG Heuer Monaco for Porsche Club of America Watch.
This specialized Monaco timepiece, inspired by Steve McQueen’s of course, features red and black rally strips on the dial along with a circled ’55’ to commemorate the year the PCA (Porsche Club of America) launched and its 55th anniversary. On the back of the watch, the PCA logo is engraved into the sapphire exhibition back.
The limited edition timepiece has a stainless steel case that measures 41 millimeters wide by 12 millimeters thick. The black and red striped dial is protected by a plexiglass crystal and displays hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph which displays time measurement in 30 minutes and 60 seconds. The dial is very modern, following the Monaco Collection pattern and shows the time through luminescent coated hands, while the hand of the seconds is on red. Two sub-dials located at 3 o’clock and respectively, at 9 o’clock express the functions of the chronograph, while a date window can be traced discreetly at 6 o’clock.
Like all limited editions, the new Limited Edition TAG Heuer Monaco Porsche Club of America Watch will only be distributed in a symbolic number of 55 pieces, starting from September 2010. Priced at $5,500, the watch is not available for retail. However, you can place an order online at Porsche Club of America.
