Cognac maker Hennessy have partnered with French cobblers Berluti to create an exclusive Limited Edition X.O Methusalem Cognac. The two luxe brands, both part of the LVMH(the luxury goods conglomerate which includes Louis Vuitton, Dior, Fendi, Dom Perignon, Hublot and more), teamed up to create the ultimate cognac experience.
The XO Mathusalem comes in a 1.6 gallon (six liter) hand-blown crystal decanter, originally designed by the Marquis de Geoffre in 1947 for Hennessy. Each bottle has its edition number engraved upon it. The bottle comes in a leather bound wooden chest made by Berluti from the same type of leather as they use for their shoes which takes over seventy hours to build. The cognac itself tastes of old leather along with black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, vanilla and crystallized fruit.
Priced at $23,000 Hennessy X.O Mathusalem Cognac will see only 150 pieces.
