Picchiotti 50m Exuma Superyacht
Perini Navi Group, one of the world leaders in the construction of luxury yachts, has proudly announced the official delivery of their first motor yacht unit of the Vitruvius series. Exuma is the first of three units sold presently by the Perini Navi Group under the new Picchiotti brand. Philipe Briand, naval architect and designer of the Vitruvius concept is the brain behind the Pichiotti 50m Exuma. Built in aluminum, Exuma is characterized by streamlined, slender lines and follows the principles of the BOS Hull (Briand Optimized Stretched Hull) that allows to enjoy a gross tonnage of 497 tons, displacement of 400 tonnes, a reduced draught of 2.3 meters for navigating even in shallower waters, and a range of 5,500 miles at 12 knots.
Her interior is an exquisite display of warm and sophisticated natural woods and the finest Italian marble alongside a layout which was designed for true comfort at sea. The bridge deck with its large glass doors is home to the helm, the captain’s office and the pantry, a spacious saloon with a luxurious L-shaped sofa, a coffee table, armchairs and an entertainment area. The deck also houses chaise-lounges and boasts of an accessorized Jacuzzi with integrated banquette.
An elegant glass sliding door in the main deck paves the way to the main saloon. Embellished in natural oak, brushed oak, grey leather, natural teak flooring and Italian marble and large windows that offer panoramic views, the main salon is truly the ultimate relaxing space. The lower deck houses the two VIP cabins and one twin cabin with ensuite bathrooms. Besides these cabins, the Exuma boasts of three double cabins with bathroom for the crew, a Captain’s cabin, a dinette, laundry room and a galley equipped with dumbwaiter serving the three decks of the yacht directly.

Luxury yacht Exuma was conceived and created with a strong aptitude for exploration in mind, and has the capability of stowing large amounts of equipment on board to allow exploring the most beautiful and remote areas of the world: an amphibious 16.4 ft vehicle, completely customised with Iveco Campagnola mechanical components and frame, a Hov Pod 12 ft hovercraft housed inside the two fore lateral garages with gull-wing door openings, two tenders, respectively measuring 21 ft and 14 ft, two electric land scooters, two Seabobs and a Sea-Doo RXT 250 jet ski. The yacht is also equipped with diving areas and equipment.
Two other Picchiotti superyachts belonging to the Vitruvius series are under construction, a 55m scheduled for 2011, and a 73m with delivery expected in 2013. The Perini Navi Group have announced that, now delivered, superyacht Exuma will now set sail for some of the most remote regions in the world.
