Jean Paul Gaultier for La Perla – Handmade Lingerie
For all you women out there who like to experiment with their lingerie, there is a good news. The long awaited Jean Paul Gaultier for La Perla lingerie collection is set to hit the stores in November. The new line will comprise 27, styles, nearly all handmade, including a waist-cinching corset and bra inspired by the cone bra that the designer created for Madonna in the Nineties.
Leading the way, two special limited edition garments will be shown on the 7th of July in Paris, during the Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 Haute Couture show: a backstitch satin bra with a shoulder-strap motif and glove-holding strings and a suspender belt, strategically stitched to round off the silhouette in an irresistible way.
The prices are about $618 for the bras, panties, etc and $1,236 for the bustiers and corsets. La Perla and Jean Paul Gaultier also collaborated on a beachwear capsule collection which will be presented during the Spring/Summer 2011 Paris Fashion Week.
While we wait to collections appear in stores, lets take a closer look at this amazing handmade lingerie.
