2011 Audi R8 GT
Audi has just released pricing for its most expensive model yet, the 2011 Audi R8 GT supercar that arrives in local showrooms in the first half of next year. Pricing for the hot Audi will start at a substantial $198,000, which includes a $1,200 destination charge.
The car a lightweight version of the Audi R8 coupe weighs just 3,362 pounds and boasts of 560 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. A powerful creation, this new model can reach from 0-62 mph in just 3.6 seconds and boasts of a top speed of 199 mph. The car will only be offered with the single-clutch R-Tronic semi-automatic transmission. The R8 GT has a head start by using the aluminium spaceframe, which weighs just 210kg before the alloy body panels are added.
Only 333 will be produced, so if you want a 2011 Audi R8 GT you’d better act fast. In fact, only a third of that number are slated to hit US market.
