Akillis’ Diamond-encrusted Alligator Leather Belt

In 2009, Gucci took pride in debuting to the fashion world, the world’s most expensive belt. Giving stiff competition to the Gucci belt and vying to become the world’s most expensive belt is this exquisite belt from luxury French jewelry designer Akillis.

Priced at €40,000 (about $55,700), unlike the Gucci belt which has a logo-shaped buckle that is encrusted in diamonds, the alligator leather belt comes with a buckle made from empty Kalasnikov rifle bullets that have been adorned with diamonds. Caroline Gaspard, chief executive of Akillis, has taken inspiration from spy and gangster films to create this sparkling belt.

While the Akillis’ diamond-studded alligator leather belt might not be the world’s most expensive, it’s definitely a cool accessory for the uber rich fashionistas to jazz up their waistline with something classic. The jewelry brand has already sold three of the 7 AK Bullets Belt.
