The most powerful Porsche in the in the history of German sports car manufacturer, is not only fast on the road, all 500 units of the limited edition Porsche 911 GT2 RS were sold to customers within an extremely short amount of time. Only 500 units of the 911 GT2 RS were to be built, and they’ve all sold in less than two months since the official unveiling August 25 at the Moscow Auto Salon.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is powered by the standard 3.6 liter six-cylinder boxer engine equipped with turbochargers with variable turbine geometry. However, the power output of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS has been increased by 90 hp over the standard GT2. This means the Porsche 911 GT2 RS develops 620 HP and is able to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Pricing for the Porsche 911 GT2 RS started at $245,000, but that doesn’t really matter anymore, because like we already mentioned, one of the most extreme street-legal machines ever built by the German automaker have been already sold.
That was fast, but not as fast as the Special Edition Camaro SS Convertibles in the Neiman-Marcus Christmas catalog. As we reported, all 100 of Neiman’s Camaro SS were gone three minutes after order phones opened. Then again, it was only $75,000.
