The Bugatti Veyron, the world’s fastest and most expensive sports car, got a unique fashion treatment this week, thanks to SkinzWraps, Epson printing technology, and Avery Dennison. The Super Sport Veyron is wrapped with Avery Dennison’s best-in-class vehicle wrap material, MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS, which has been printed on an Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 printer. SkinzWraps designed the graphics and installed the material on the car. A total of seven days were required to complete the design, print the wrap and apply it to the car.
The Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 64-inch wide roll-to-roll printer delivers high color gamut, photographic image quality and reliability with commercial speeds, all while using a solvent-based Epson UltraChrome GS ink technology that’s less harmful on the environment. The printer’s Dual-Array MicroPiezo AMC print head is uniquely engineered for the demands of high-production solvent printing and produces fine detail with a maximum resolution of 1440×1440 dpi and variable-sized droplet technology as small as 3.7 picoliters.
The Bugatti Veyron, in case you haven’t driven one lately, is the most expensive and fastest sports car in the world, hailed by many as the greatest automobile ever made. It seats two and has a 16-cylinder, 1,001 horsepower engine.The Veyron’s powerful engine and 7-speed transmission with AWD enables it to achieve a top speed of 253 mph, a speed it can maintain up to 12 minutes before consuming all of its fuel.
