The New York Post is reporting that Oprah Winfrey is eyeing a $68 million mansion in Alpine, New Jersey. On a house-hunting trip in Northern New Jersey, Oprah Winfrey checked out one of the country’s priciest listings: developer Richard Kurtz’s $68 million Alpine mansion, which sits on the grounds of the former estate of Henry Clay Frick II, according to the Post.
The $68 million mansion in Alpine, is the most costly home on the market in this Bergen County, an ultra-rich village, that was put up on the grounds of the old Frick land, the manor house, on a gated street, is consists of 42 rooms that include 12 bedrooms, 15 full bathrooms, an indoor basketball court, tennis court, pool house, movie theater and a ballroom.
Alpine last year was named by Forbes magazine as the most expensive ZIP code in the country. Its celebrity residents include Eddie Murphy, the Jonas Brothers and CC Sabathia. The average home price in Alpine is $4.14 million and the borough has just over 2,000 residents.
