When all you want is a watch that will tell the time reliably and that can withstand even the toughest tests beyond the specified limits, then this must be right for you. German dive watch experts UTS release a new version of their GMT line of watches with the Adventure GMT. he cases are made in-house by UTS, and the durability of these watches is said to be outstanding. One of the only drawbacks is that the difference between the various UTS watch models is often slight.
The new UTS Adventure GMT diving watchis not only rated for depths of up to 500 meters (1650 feet,) but is also very elegant (for a diver) and looks like you can wear it not only with dry-suit or jeans, but also with more formal dress. Its 46 mm width cushion-shaped case is made of surgical grade 1.4404 satin-finished stainless steel and features a very imposing round bezel.
The watch contains a newer Swiss ETA Valgranges A07.171 automatic GMT movement. There is lots of bright SuperLumiNova on the dial, and the legibility is top-notch. GMT hand is in the hub of the dial with a whole 24 hour scale. Unfortunately, the GMT scale and arrow-shaped extra hour hand are painted with normal red paint that doesn’t draw too much attention when not needed, but is also completely invisible in darkness.
Sporting official power reserve of 42 hours, the automatic movement is also adjusted to 5 positions, which makes it even more accurate. The movement, that shows only very basic decoration, is perfectly visible through a transparent case back, which is covered with a rather thick sapphire crystal featuring anti-reflective coating on the inside.
The watch comes on various straps or UTS’s famous metal bracelet. Price is $4,000 and the UTS Adventure GMT watch is limited to 200 pieces only.
