Xenatec Maybach Cruiserio Coupe
Saudi-based Auto Kingdom and Xenatec, the German-based special purpose vehicle manufacturer recently singed an agreement to produce a new generation of the Maybach 57 under the brand Cruiserio coupe in partnership with Germany’s auto giant Daimler AG with a total investment of €70 million by the Saudi company. The production line of the new super luxury coupe will be bought to build only 100 units for worldwide markets.
Seen until now only in sketches, the Cruiserio is designed by Burch Fred Hardt. The design is based on the Maybach 57S coupe that features a sporty, conservative appearance. The new Coupe will be powered by a V12 engine, is 5.7 meter in length and 1.98 in width, will pack 605hp which will move it to 60 mph from standstill in just 5.0 seconds and then propel it to a top speed of 170 mph.
The Cruiserio Coupe was recently unveiled in a dazzling ceremony at Daimler headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany in presence of Waleed Abdullah Al-Hokair, Chariman of AutoKingdom, Detlef Barthelmes, CEO of Maybach, Fredrik Burchhardt, the designer of Cruiserio, Dr. Ing. Achim Agostini, Kamel Al-Ghadban, AutoKingdom’s representative in Germany and a host of senior officials of global automakers, businessmen and investors.
The very first model of the Xenatec Cruiserio Coupe is now being put up for sale by AutoKingdom, a luxury car dealer in Saudi Arabia for a €715,000 ($949,520). Incidentally, AutoKingdom is one of only two companies outside of Germany that has been given the rights to sell the limited-run vehicle with the other dealership being Russia’s ArmorTech Group.
