Scotland is known to fans of drinks for its world-famous single malt, and is also known to fishing lovers for its amazing rivers, which abound with Atlantic salmon. These two characteristics of Scotland can be found connected in the form of the Dalmore Rivers Collection.
Master distiller Richard Paterson made a four specially-crafted single malts. Each whisky is named after the world famous salmon rivers: the Spay, the Dee, the Tay and the Tweed.
What is commendable is that is from every bottle sold at least £4 (approx. $6.3) will be gifted directly to foundations to protect and preserve each river. When the first of these, called the Dee Dram, went on sale last year, it sold out just in nine weeks and raised £35,000 ($55,500) to protect the River Dee. The price is the same for all four whiskies and is £41.99 (approx. $67) per 70-centiliter bottle.
