Alfred Dunhill Limited Edition Sentryman Explorer II Fountain Pen
London-based Alfred Dunhill have revealed their newest addition to the Sentryman Explorer series: the Sentryman Explorer II Pen. A design worthy of James Bond orwell-heeled adventurers, the limited edition Dunhill Sentryman Explorer II pen comes with a hidden compass, flashlight and interchangeable 18-karat gold fountain, ballpoint and pencil foreparts. This highly functional pen allows the writer to change between fountain pen, ballpoint and pencil with a unique bayonet attachment. Like the original Explorer pen, it also has a luminous ring in the cap to make it easier to locate in the dark.
New Dunhill Pen was inspired by Celement Court, the brand’s Parisian store manager in the early 1900s, who traveled through Siberia to Kyoto, Japan, to see firsthand how Namiki pens were made, and he is credited with forging a partnership with Namiki that continues today.
The Dunhill Sentryman II is limited to a 150 unit release, with each pen numbered and presented in a black lacquered Alfred Dunhill box that is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The pen will retail for $3,400 each. [Dunhill]
