Ball Powered Ferris Wheel Clock
Standing tall and pride in all its regal splendour a lion is what catches the eye first towards this gilt French Ferris Wheel Clock. This unique time piece is driven by the weight of steel balls features a glass and ormolu case that houses the clock. Unlike traditional wind up or weight driven clock, this unique clock receive its working power from large balls bearing, which rolling down the top tray. When the ball clears on the Ferris wheel, it simply rolls down to the bottom drawer. After it collects a few of the steel ball bearing, you simply replace them back on the top tray, which has designated channels that allows the balls to roll down to the large Ferris wheel.
Time is told on a magnificent porcelain clockface, decorated with foe garlands and a ring of sparkling crystals, by pierced gilt bronze hands and Roman numerals. The glass case also features a barometer and Fahrenheit thermometer and boasts gold, silver and white, standard colours apparent in rare treasures.
