After Edinburgh, Italian fashion label Missoni has opened its second luxury property. Missoni’s newest luxury hotel is located in Kuwait City and is part of Symphony Centre, a premier luxury shopping destination.
Rosita Missoni, the company’s creative director, and Graven Images, a Glasgow-based interior designer, are responsible for the hotel’s look. New hotel in Kuwait City is dominated by turquoise and gold, while the famous stripes and zig-zags adorn furniture in each of the 169 rooms. In addition, Missoni branded bed linens add a special touch to the luxury hotel’s plush interior decor.
With a pool overlooking the Persian Gulf, the elite hotel offers Arabic and Mediterranean dining in the Cucina, Luna, restaurant and pastries and chocolates in the Choco Cafe. Guests can unwind in the sixth-floor Six Senses Spa which has 11 treatment rooms and make-up studio.
The firm opened in the Scottish capital last year and said it plans other hotels in Oman and Brazil for 2012. [Hotel Missoni]
