Brabus Mercedes-Benz Viano iBusiness 3D
Last year, the renowned German tuner Brabus gave Mercedes-Benz S600 its special iBusiness treatment and transformed it into a high-tech office on wheels. It seems that, for this year, the aftermarket developer wanted to take the concept to a whole new level. The Brabus has installed the same kind of office furniture in a Mercedes Viano. The Brabus Mercedes-Benz Viano iBusiness 3D, which had its world debut at this year’s Geneva auto show, is probably the most technology packed van anyone has ever built. Is has everything, from a 3D home entertainment system, to PlayStation and iPad and iPhone integration.
The multimedia equipment includes a 40-inch Sony Bravia LED TV equipped with a DVBT receiver which can also play 3D movies from a PlayStation 3. This TV can also serve as the main monitor for the car’s computer system (MacMini) which is connected to the Internet via UMTS and HSDPA, and features wireless WIFI. Other lavish business class features include two electronically adjustable armchairs wrapped in soft Bordeaux-red and grey leather. The passengers will be able to adjust these armchairs to a full recline position for sleeping or an upright position. The chairs come with stowaway tray tables, iPads and leg rests. [BornRich]
Both special seats are separated by a center console covered by a tasteful combination of fine leather and especially fine wood in yachting design that is prevalent in the entire van interior. The van also has a mini bar and a fridge. The electrically retractable glass partition behind the driver compartment, which by the way is also luxuriously appointed, provides the desired privacy at the push of a button.
On the 3.0-litre CDI V6 Brabus increases output by 38 HP and 60 Nm of torque through their ECO PowerXtra D6(III) kit, while for the Viano 3.5 they offer the Brabus 4.0-litre high-capacity engine producing 318 HP (234 kW) and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque. There is also a high performance version Brabus iBusiness 3D Mercedes Viano which uses the tuner’s 6.1-litre 8-cylinder engine producing 426 HP (313 kW) at 5,400 rpm and 621 Nm (458 lb-ft) of torque at 4,100 rpm. This version accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 5.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 155 mph (250 Km/h).
The only problem with Brabus Mercedes-Benz Viano iBusiness 3D is that people who lie to have this level of luxury in their life, also like to show it off a bit. And a blacked-out van isn’t really what you call classy!
