This is definitely an item that collectors and golfers will want to own. Wonderland Publications have just released the ultimate golfer’s book and there are only 10 available of this book – though book isn’t quite the right term to describe this labor of love that is more art than it is functional.
The book is called Golf and is the brainchild of artists/authors/TV producers Paul Skellett and Simon Weitzman. They started out knowing next to nothing about golf and spent the last 4 years creating a book (really a work of art) that covers the game, the courses, and the story of golf.

The amazing thing about this book is that it is entirely hand-crafted, and it is even hand-bound in the traditional manner with a binding press. The book weighs in at almost 100 pounds and is bound using Russian leather that was only recently recovered by an American marine salvage operation. It contains 140 individually hand torn pages. Each page is made from 350gsm museum archive grade paper and has been individually hand-torn on the edges, with all artwork hand-printed with pigment based UV protected inks.
Golf, limited to just 10 copies worldwide, has been put up for sale for $48,000 per copy. But if that’s a little too rich for your blood, they will be creating 100 prints of each of the pages from the book. They’re created in exactly the same manner as the pages from the book and will be available in April for $350 each. There will also be a 2.100 copy release of a smaller collector’s edition of the book later this year. They will sell for approximately $600 each. [Wonderland Publications]
