Porsche 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder
To mark the launch of the production version of Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid, German car makers revealed a special edition of the 911 Turbo S. Called the 911 Turbo S “Edition 918 Spyder”, it’s essentially the same as the standard Turbo S, only with some extra decals, special colors and unique trim.
The model will be limited, as you would expect, to 918 units, and will be available exclusively to customers ordering the 918 Spyder Hybrid. It features similar exterior colors, carbon-fiber elements inside and out, enhanced leather equipment and numerous acid-green accents on items such as the brake calipers, illuminated sill plates, interior stitching and instrument cluster needles. All units will get a limited-edition badge on the glove compartment door, which will match the same production number as the customer’s 918 Spyder.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder is based on the 530hp 911 Turbo S, and will be offered in both coupe and cabrio version. The U.S. base manufacturer’s suggested retail prices for the 911 Turbo S “Edition 918 Spyder” Coupe and Cabriolet versions are the same as the standard Turbo S models, at $160,700 and $172,100 respectively, excluding destination.
Deliveries of the Porsche 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder will start in June this year so it’s something to keep 918 Spyder customers satisfied until they receive their Hybrid car in 2013.
