2012 Aston Martin Virage Volante
The first official video of the new Aston Martin Virage shows the magnificent car in some of the most attractive roads in the world. The Virage is as we all know by now positioned between the DB9 and DBS and unites the technology from the DBS with the comfort and refinement found in the DB9 and Rapide.
For the new two-door Virage, Aston Martin gets the help of a 6.0-liter V12 engine that sends 490 bhp and 570 Nm of torque to the rear wheels via a Touchtronic 2 six speed automatic transmission. For more fun in the corners, Aston Martin’s Virage is equipped with a limited slip differential. The official performance figures of the new Virage say it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds and that it can reach a top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h).
To help demonstrate exactly what the Virage is capable of, the iconic automaker took to some mountain passes, complete with a soundtrack befitting of a James Bond film and let the cameras roll.
