Royal Carribean’s Allure of the Seas – The World’s Largest Cruise Ship
Royal Caribbean International masterpiece Allure of the Seas, sister of the Oasis of the Seas is the world’s largest cruise ship. The $1.5 billion ship is built by South Korea’s STX Finland Cruise shipyards in Finland.
With the ability to accommodate the 6,300 passengers and about 2,000 crew members the Allure of the Seas is like a miniature city, travelling from Fort Lauderdale to the Carribbean at a comfortable 22 knots. It have 2700 private cabins and 26 dining options include the first Starbucks at sea.

Like its 11-month-old twin Oasis, Allure soars 65 metres above the waterline, stretches 360 metres from bow to stern and fully loaded weighs 225,282 tons. Standing upright at 1,187 feet tall, Allure of the Seas is 124 feet taller than the Eiffel Tower. Allure of the Seas’ length is approximately equal to three and half regulation size soccer/football fields and is 5.11 times longer than a Boeing 747 Jetliner! It was constructed out of remarkable 500.000 individual parts!

The cheapest cruise package Allure has to offer is a week-long voyage for $US899 ($A901) per person, although a family of four would pay about 25 per cent less per individual. The most expensive package includes the Royal Loft Suite for up to six people, at $US15,609 ($A15,660) per person per week.
