Karl Lagerfeld designs bottles for Diet Coke
Many designers have engaged in designing the famous bottle. Matthew Williamson, Gianfranco Ferre, Marni and Roberto Cavalli among others, previously designed Diet Coke and Coca-Cola bottles making them fashionable and collectible. Now, Karl Lagerfeld has decided to collaborate with the company by designing a new assortment of Diet Coke bottles. This is expected given his obsession with Coke bottles.
The limited edition signed by Lagerfeld is striking in three designs: the pink and white bottles with stars, stripes and spots. He was inspired by Diet Coke heroines, Bernadette, Eleanor and Irene. Bernadette’s romantic style can be seen through the lovely Polka dots, while Eleanor’s fashionable ways have been recreated with swishy swirls. Irene’s personality has inspired the third bottle to spot a rock drama.
Thanks to his high connections, Lagerfeld arrange a photo shoot for an advertising campaign. On the photos will see Coco Rocha, Heidi Mount and Jeneil Williams come together. Bottles will hit the shelves in the summer this year.
