The 2013 Audi Quattro Coupe
The 2013 Audi Quattro Coupe, one of the most radical concepts, was definitely one of the biggest stars of the 2010 Paris Motor Show. All those who fell in love with a reincarnation of the legendary Audi Quattro rally car, now have reason for rejoicing. That’s right, the Quattro has been given the green light for limited production starting 2013.
The prototype is ready and will be presented to Audi board members for approval. The first prototype looks exactly like an Audi S5 but underneath everything is different. The car is built around Audi’s aluminium spaceframe and uses aluminium body panels. The hood and boot lid are made of light weight carbonfibre. The prototype of the production model weighs 300kg less than the RS5, on which the concept is based. The production version itself will weigh 225 kg less than the R8.
We can not say for sure what will be under the hood, but the concept version is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder attached to a classic six-speed gearbox. The engine delivers a total of 402 hp and 354 pound-feet of torque. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in just 3.9 seconds, while top speed is of course limited to 155 mph.
