The world’s most expensive yacht charter title may be achieved by Steven Spielberg’s new high-tech $200 million Seven Sea megayacht, but the 257-ft Motor Yacht TV (ex Madsummer) launched by Lurssen in 2008 isn’t far behind. Designed by the fabled Espen Oeino, it’s now available to opulent yachtsmen for a whooping $5 million per month. Having a command room that rivals Star Trek’s SS Enterprise and accommodations that could put some luxury hotels to shame, the TV Megayacht features a stunning Alberto Pintor interior.
The TV is a very large private yacht which provides her 12 lucky charter guests with everything they could desire and wish for whilst on a charter vacation in the Mediterranean or Caribbean. The TV yacht has a full owner suite which is situated forward on the yacht (for panoramic views) in the owner’s deck with a king sized bed and his & hers ensuite bathroom and an owner’s office and private balcony and Jacuzzi area to forward.

While TV offers intimate privacy if desired, she has been specifically designed for socialising and entertaining for a large number of guests. She offers plenty of space for different uses in her common area saloons, dining and relaxation areas, and her outdoor areas are very impressive. For further entertainment on her main deck an indoor cinema can also be converted into a children’s playroom where required.
Superyacht TV’s sundeck area features a large outside Jacuzzi pool with a capacity of 16 persons and a contra flow swimming pool. The yacht’s lower deck accommodates a health spa facility including a beauty salon, a sauna and massage room and a fully equipped gymnasium for health and fitness. A dedicated spa area expands onto a large fold-down sea terrace which allows said guests to go from a swim to the sauna, on to massage treatments and inside/outside gym activities in a matter of seconds.
Technically TV is a high-tech yacht built to the exacting Lurssen standard. Powered by two Caterpillar engines of 2,000 kW each, she reaches a top speed of 17 knots and has a range of 6,000 nm.
