Absolut Vodka, Swedish-known brand is displayed for the first time in Korea. It is about Absolut Art Collection which is exposed at Gallery Yeh in Sinsa-dong from 12 to 25 April, 2011.
This exhibition is organized because the limited editions or even makeovers bottle of Vodka have stopped growing for a number of years. The Absolut Art Collection has a portfolio of over 800 original collaborations, the first of which was commissioned from Andy Warhol in 1985. 20 artworks from Historical Museum of Wines and Spirits in Stockholm are travelling in Asia. The collection includes creative artworks by world famous artists Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Louise Bourgeois, Sylvie Fleury and David Shrigley etc.
The visitors can also enjoy the variety of arts in collaboration with Korean sound artist ZUUi, installation artist Byun Dae-Yong and video artist Sakayo at the exhibition. The artists express inspirations by Absolut in sound, installation and video.
Before exposure in Korea, Absolute art brand was displayed across the world – mainly in New York and Paris. [Luxuo]
