1957 Ferrari 500 TRC Spider by Scaglietti
The Ferrari 500 TRC is unquestionably one of the most attractive designs to come from Northern Italy. It is a Ferrari masterpiece and RM is delighted to offer one of the finest examples at the inaugural auction in conjunction with the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este next month.
Chassis 0670 MDTR has known history from new, including five, that’s right, five!, Targa Florio entries and numerous podium finishes, including a win in the famous Monte-Pellegrino Hillclimb. The last four-cylinder Ferrari sports racer, these 500 TRCs are not only rarer than a 250 Testa Rossa or even a 250 GTO, but examples such as this with successful period racing history make for terrific historic racing entries.
Be sure to check RM Auctions’ website for more photos and review this car’s description as well as period photographs of the car at speed.
