James Packer’s 46-meter Z Superyacht is now on sale, just over a year after it was first moored in Rose Bay. Australian billionaire, gaming and media magnate James Packer selling one of a world’s largest yachts with a tip speed of 35 knots for a €15.9 million ($23 million), roughly the same amount Packer paid in January last year.
Z Sidney Superyacht is a an extraordinary sports yacht powered by three times 2,400hp MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines. The name of the yacht has been changed to Ares, as in the Greek god of war, to make it more appealing to European buyers and lessen the publicity of the sale. Launched last year, the Leopard 46 (Ares) accommodates 12 guests and eight crew in one master, two double and two twin rooms. The 165’s interior includes an expansive main salon with cocktail tables, a long bar, and a surfeit of seating. Two pop-up, back-to-back flat-screen televisions face the main salon and the adjacent dining room. The craft’s aft deck covers a garage that contains tenders and toys and opens hydraulically at the push of a button. The bikini-clad babes are extra.
In December, Packer entertained Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal on the yacht, while his old friend Tom Cruise regularly enjoys a trip on the vessel during his annual trips Down Under. In February pop star Sting was just spotted having fun with bikini-clad babes aboard James Packer’s Z Sidney superyacht.
James seems to be looking for something more bigger for crazy fun with his friends, knowing that he has also sold his other luxury yacht Z Ellerston, a Mangusta 165. [Burgess]
