Vilner’s Bentley Inspired Mini Cooper S
Bulgarian customiser Vilner decided to transform the Mini’s interior into that of a Bentley model, after seeing the special edition – the Mini Cooper S “Inspired by Goodwood” by Rolls-Royce, a model based off a standard Mini Cooper S and inspired by Rolls Royce’s design elements. Vilner named the car The Italian Job as homage to the famous movie, for obvious reasons, but a more appropriate name would have been Mini Inspired by Crewe.
The interior is fitted with brown Nappa leather – the same that is used by fellow British luxury manufacturer Bentley – and Vilner says it gives the Mini the same smell as a modern Bentley. Two tones of Alcantara are also used throughout the cabin, with Bentley rhomb pattern used across the seats and ceiling liner. Even the rear view mirror gets the full leather/Alcantara treatment. In addition, the doors have gained elements of black leather while the original plastic was re-sprayed in a sparkling gray finish.
Vilner also took care of the Mini Cooper S’ exterior when chose a matte gray wrap and then added two matte black racing stripes going up the hood towards the full matte black roof, racing lines and ‘01’ numbering on the doors. The package is completed by a new set of 18″ black wheels.
Price is still unknown, but if we take into account the rumors that the similar Mini Inspired by Goodwood edition go for around $77,500, certainly the Bentley Mini Cooper will not be cheaper. [Vilner]
