Seabourn Quest Dazzling Debut In Barcelona
Yacht of Seaborun, luxury cruise line has launched the world’s newest luxury cruise ship, named Seabourn Quest. Award-winning actress Blythe Danner served as godmother to the new luxury vessel, Seabourn’s third new ship and the sixth to join its fleet, completing a three-year expansion for the line. The ceremony was held in Barcelona on June 20 before Seabourn Quest departs that day on a 14-day maiden voyage to Athens, Greece.
The 450-passenger vessel is the latest ship of the Odyssey class, a significantly larger type of ship compared to Seabourn’s previous vessels, which has won several awards since 2009. Like the others in its class, the Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn, it features an 11,400 square foot (1,050 square meter) spa and 225 suites, 95 percent of which offer private verandas.
The ship also offers two formal restaurants, a casual outdoor patio grill and an open-kitchen gourmet buffet called the Colonnade, as well as six bars and lounges that serve a range of beverages included in the price of a voyage. Suites are also fitted out with walk-in closets, iPod connectors, granite bathrooms with a bath and separate shower/twin sinks, and a bar which is stocked according to the wishes of the passenger.
She is sleek and stunning with spacious decks and public rooms, luxurious suites, a variety of award-winning dining experiences and an amazing crew offering highly personalised service. We can assure guests the very finest travel experiences when they cruise with us on this beautiful ship, said Richard Meadows, Seabourn President.
The Seabourn Quest’s maiden voyage will be followed by several seven-day Eastern Mediterranean cruises and a seven-day Black Sea trip. The luxury vessel then will cross the Atlantic from Spain to Florida for a series of Caribbean voyages. In January 2012 the ship begins a 109-day World Cruise from Fort Lauderdale that ends in Venice. [Seabourn]
