American Express has teamed up with Mercedes-Benz to launch two co-brand Cards designed for Mercedes-Benz drivers and enthusiasts: the Mercedes-Benz Credit Card from American Express and the Platinum Card from American Express Exclusively for Mercedes-Benz.
Credit card and a charge card offer extra privileges for card members who make regular visits to their local Mercedes dealers. Card members will be able to earn and redeem points which can be used for features such as reward certificate for Mercedes-Benz accessories, $500 off certificate towards lease options, points for gas purchase, restaurants and shopping.

For a $95 annual fee, card members earn five Membership Rewards points for every dollar spent at Mercedes-Benz dealerships, plus:
3 points per dollar for “pay at the pump” gasoline purchases,
2 points per dollar for restaurant purchases,
1 point per dollar for all other qualifying transactions.
Mercedes-Benz owners who accept the new credit card also get dealership benefits, including:
$500 toward their next Mercedes-Benz lease or purchase,
1,000 excess miles waived at lease end, and
$50 annual credit toward the purchase of Genuine Mercedes-Benz accessories.
Platinum Card from American Express Exclusively for Mercedes-Benz
This version of AmEx’s iconic Platinum Card carries all of the same new perks and benefits announced during the card’s recent revamp. Card members will enjoy:
access to hundreds of airport lounges
up to $200 in reimbursed airline fees each year
no foreign transaction fees
Along with five reward points for every dollar spent at Mercedes-Benz dealers, the Platinum Card adds:
$100 annual accessories credit
2,000 excess miles waived
$1,000 toward the purchase or lease of a new Mercedes-Benz
The Platinum Card from American Express Exclusively for Mercedes-Benz carries a $475 annual fee, earns cardmembers a reward point for every dollar spent, and requires full payment at the end of each statement cycle. [American Express]
