One of the richest men in the world, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen is selling his private island for $13.5 million. Allan island, named after a Navy hero and not its owner is located between Burrows Bay and Rosario Strait. Allen bought the 292-acre island in 1992 and in 2005 listed it for sale for $25 million. Now, the island is available for sale at a half price.
Allan island is accessible by private plane or boat, where you’ll find a plenty of lush vegetation. The island contains a log home, an airstrip, beaches, 44 tax lots, a dock which could be used for travelling, as well as water centered activities. It has no main house—though there are plenty of scenic spots on which to build one. Interesting, but a bit rustic place for living.
The listing agent is Wally Gudgell of Windermere Real Estate. Gudgell sold Allen his other property in the San Juans, a site on Lopez Island, in 1996.
