The yacht market is always scouting for new designs and fresh ideas. This one could come across as something not so typical. Alex Pirard Yacht Design has just unveiled an exclusive limousine tender built by hi-Tech Marine.
The yacht is suitable for all weather conditions thanks to its folding hard-top, making it the first and only tender in the world to feature a convertible and completely automatized hard-top. She also features two folding platforms, each on each side of the hull, which allows guests to enter the boat without stairs and without the need for dangerous movements.
Built completely from carbon fibre, Tender 38 Oronero has a number of features including a dinette, which can be converted into a bed, a galley and shower room with WC. The interior is finished in a clear oak wood and beige leather and fitted with air conditioning units. The cockpit is located on the main deck, along with a TV and dinette that can be converted into a solarium.
A top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots is achieved from its two 280 hp hybrid diesel engines, with a cruising speed of seven knots when running electric motors. The yacht’s hybrid engines reduce fuel consumption, and solar panels on the roof provide another source of power.
Owners with superyachts of 80 to 100 metres need a small boat for when they go to a restaurant or another yacht, explains designer, Alex Pirard. But many don’t have a tender that is completely comfortable. Oronero, with its beautiful wood and leather interior, offers superior comfort.
The Oronero boat will be in Monaco during the yacht show, but will not be in the show itself. You can visit her at the Monaco Marine Power Boats quai, close to the Monaco Yacht Club.
