Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Porsche Design Studio have joined together to create the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Collection by Porsche Design Studio and the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Private Bar. The main design item of this collection is the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Private Bar, and there are also The Chiller and The Cube.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Private Bar
The bar comes in brushed titanium, metal, glass, and leather fixtures, measures 220cm high by 65cm and weighs 450 Kg. Utilising state of the art motion sensors to activate its opening sequence, it opens through a perfect 180 degrees to reveal three bottles and four crystal glasses. The uber-exclusive bar is limited edition collection and only 10 such private bars will be created worldwide (comes with a price tag of $156,000).
The Chiller holds a single bottle of JWBL in a sophisticated dark blue leather and brushed titanium case. The top removes to function as an ice chiller. It will cost you €189 ($260).
The Cube comes with an individually numbered bottle of JWBL, an ice chiller, stainless steel tongs and four bespoke Blue Label crystal glasses. It is priced at €349 ($480).
The Chiller and The Cube will be available at Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, and Royal Mile Whiskies from October 2011 while Private Bar is available made to order exclusively from Harrods. The collection will also be displayed at London hotels including The Savoy and the Mandarin Oriental.
