One of the most successful writing instruments from the luxury brand Porsche Design, the popular P’3140 Shake Pen will be available in a new design from October 2011. The Shake Pen ballpoint is called the Twist, due to its exceptionally curved shape.

The pen successfully combines sporty and elegant looks, and boasts an elegantly milled solid aluminium barrel with matt-chromed front and end piece. A small indentation at the end of the ballpoint prevents it from rolling away on sloping surfaces. A characteristic feature of this writing instrument is its unique shaking technique: by moving your wrist with a brief sweeping motion, the cartridge is catapulted out of the barrel by a small weight in the end piece, and is then ready for writing. If you repeat the movement, the cartridge disappears back into its housing just as rapidly. The Shake Pen Twist thus combines elegance and functionality.
The Shake Pen Twist ballpoint pen will be available in shops now for €130 ($180).
