Vintner Robert Mondavi’s Napa Valley Estate has now been put up for auction with a listed price tag of $13.9 million. The 56-acre estate, accessible only by a winding private road offers breathtaking 360-degree views of Napa. It is located high atop a mountain at 5681 Silverado Trail Napa, California 94599.
The 11,500-square-foot main house sits atop a knoll just south of Yountville. It has two bedrooms, a 50-foot-long pool in the living room and a roof that opens up over the pool. The house was designed in 1979 by California architect Cliff May, who had earlier designed the Robert Mondavi Winery.
Although there is no vineyard, the estate is very attractive because it has two plantable acres and an underground wine cellar. There’s also viewing tower with a circular staircase, a guest house and two tennis courts.
The auction for this magnificent estates is being conducted by New York based real estate auction company Sheldon Good & Co.
