Just in time for Christmas, Bombay Sapphire has come out with Limited Edition Keepsake Bag. Cooperation between Bombay Sapphire and House of Hackney founders Frieda Gormley and Javvy M Royle has resulted to re-imagine their iconic Hackney Empire print to be featured on the special velvet bags designed to keep special curios and pieces that have been collected on one’s travels.
Inspired by Bombay Sapphire’s exotic botanicals, the Keepsake is decorated with turban-wearing peacocks, a Java mask deer, parrots, frogs and tamarins, capturing House of Hackney’s surreal, but still regal style.
Bombay Sapphire is innovative and unique, yet it has a respect for tradition. These are all qualities that House of Hackney shares. Having such a rich sense of heritage and exoticism to work with meant we could let our imagination run wild. The design of the ‘Keepsake’ reflects the provenance and playfulness of Bombay Sapphire and we’re thrilled with the result, comments House of Hackney co‐founder Frieda Gormley of the design.
Fastened with striking Queen Victoria and House of Hackney charms, the Bombay Sapphire Keepsake is home to a limited edition Bombay Sapphire 70cl bottle engraved with a golden House of Hackney logo.
For £35 ($55), The Bombay Sapphire Limited Edition Keepsake’ by House Hackney will be available from late November 2011 at Selfridges.
During the time the limited edition Bombay Sapphire Keepsake is available there will also be a specially created Bombay Sapphire Keepsake Cocktail on serve at the House of Hackney Gin Den at cult East-End eatery, Bistrotheque. The cocktail, created by David Waddington and Bombay Sapphire’s brand ambassador Sam Carter showcases a divine mix of Bombay Sapphire with almond syrup, blue Curacao, rebalanced with freshly squeezed lime juice creating a truly sublime tipple.
