What do you do to get the attention of customers who are bored with traditional iPhone docks? You create a huge 4-foot tall by 8-foot wide, 10,000 watts.-Watt iPhone/iPad dock called the iNuke Boom. Made by Behringer, a German company more well known for its professional audio products, this $30,000, car-sized contraption weighs 700 pounds, meaning you’re going to need to rent a U-Haul to bring this dock home.
The iNuke Boom is a trifle light on features: unlike other iPod docks on the market, the device doesn’t include such niceties as a clock, HDMI output or in-built display. It does, however, include support for the iPod and iPhone, and doubles up as a rather snazzy table.
The company has decided to enter the consumer audio market with 50 new products under the Eurosound brand, and to celebrate they’re going to show off the huge iPhone/iPad dock at CES 2012, just in case you didn’t think it was real. [Behringer]
