At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month, Abarth will hit the show with yet another special-edition model of the Fiat 500. The latest treat from Italian company is the Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati a tribute to the luxury cars. Designed and built in collaboration with Maserati, the 695 Tributo is designed to epitomize sheer elegance united to the comfort of a ‘GranTurismo’, but with the handling of a car fit to take to the road every day.
Limited to only 499 cars, the Tributo Maserati is powered by the same 1.4-litre turbo engine found elsewhere in the Abarth 500 line-up, but with power uprated to 180 hp. New 17-inch alloy wheels, which mimic those on the Maserati GranTurismo, hide 305-mm Brembo brake discs. Hexagonal-shaped exhaust tips cap a dual-mode exhaust system, which gets a bit noisier (and less restrictive) once the engine reaches 3000 rpm.
The three-layer Pontevecchio Bordeaux paint comes from Maserati, and the electric folding soft-top is finished in grey fabric. Sporty front and rear bumpers and side skirts extend the racing theme, while xenon headlights complete the exterior upgrades.
The cockpit is trimmed in Poltrona Frau beige leather and features an uprated audio system, Jaeger instruments, black leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals and a carbon-fiber kickplate with Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati graphics.
Last but not least, as with all limited edition Abarth models, the Tributo Maserati will come with the Tramontano Tribute to Abarth Travel Pack, which consists of two gray leather travel bags.
