David Beckham has decided to sell off five of his cars worth over half-a-million pounds ($800,000)! Soccer superstar wants to get rid of his cars because he feels that cars are just gathering dust at his home in England. Beckham, nicknamed Goldenballs has planned to sell with his two Bentleys, a BMW 645i Convertible, a Land Rover Range Rover Sport and Lamborghini Gallardo. He may even sell his three Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Bekham friend said: David’s collection is amazing and each of these vehicles is worth a fortune. They are hardly used and are kept in prize condition — but David sees little point in them just mothballing in the UK and it’s not practical to ship them to America. They will be sold off for other enthusiasts to enjoy, he added.
He signed a new two-year deal for American club LA Galaxy in January and has no plans to return to the UK for some time. The move comes amid reports the couple plans to sell their Hertfordshire home, nicknamed Beckingham Palace for £18 million, as well as their £2.5 million French villa.
This isn’t the first time Beckham has sold off his car. He sold his Porsche 911 Carera on eBay last year for £136,000 ($216,441). In 2005, his BMW M3 worth £44,000 ($70,000), Beckham sold it for £90,000 ($143,191).
It’s unknown where and when Beckham’s cars will be sold, but as soon as it’s made public expect plenty of media coverage.
