US-based shipbuilder, Delta Marine recently launched its latest custom superyacht – Arianna, world’s largest all composite 50 meter full-displacement motoryacht. Designed and engineered by the Delta Design Group, Arianna superyacht is capable of transoceanic cruising with fortitude and grace.
The 164-foot Arianna that has a beam of nearly 34 feet, and over 7,500 square feet of living area is a superyacht with more volume than most the same size. If you compare its more than 780 gross tons ITC (International Tonnage Convention, a more precise measurement of volume than the U.S. system) with a volume of many other 164-footers, and chances are the figures will be 500 gross tons or less.
Polynesian-inspired interior that is elegant, comfortable, and suitable for a family at home on the seas was designed by Delta Design Group, Delta Marine’s in-house team. It is adorned with rare tropical hardwoods including Mascassar ebony, Wenge and Koa. Balinese-inspired touches and colorful blown glass lighting. It also features inlaid silk carpets, organic fabrics and textures, woven leather and natural stone. Another highlight inside is a room for kids within the owner’s suite, located on the upper deck. For grown-ups, there’s a sauna within the gym and a private office with an antique, German built safe—and it’s in an unusual location, forward on the main deck. Also unusual is a float-in tender garage.
Roomy external seating areas are perfect for al fresco dining or lounging in the sun. There is a large aft seating area on the main deck and the sun deck features a bathroom, hot-tub, sun chairs, and a large island-style bar. Guests can escape the sun under a lightweight carbon fiber bimini cover. An elevator provides access to all four decks.
Arianna is equipped with twin Caterpillar 3512B engines that give her a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a maximum speed of 16 knots. She carries 21,900 gallons of fuel and has a range of over 5,000 nautical miles.
Delta’s Superyacht Arianna will be delivered within the next few months. After her owners’ initial cruise, Arianna will be available for Mediterranean yacht charter service. After that, this new Delta will be on display at the Fort Lauderdale boat show in October. [Delta Marine]
