At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Mercedes Benz parades their gold wrapped cars. The German carmaker argues that on this way it marks the 65th anniversary of the Palme d’Or (Golden Palm). In that name, Mercedes-Benz uses golden fleet of limos and AMG cars for shuttling guests, most of whom are likely to be celebrities. Not only does Mercedes provide transportation for VIPs using a fleet of AMG-powered vehicles, but the company is also holding test drive sessions that allow participants to experience its cars on the French Riviera.
On top of this, one special car, a 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG also covered in gold, will be shining at the legendary Cinema Against AIDS Gala being organized by the amfAR foundation at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on May 24.
