New collection of jewelry, titled The Style of Jolie, emerged in collaboration between Angelina Jolie and Robert Procop, is set to go on display in the South of France in July via two month-long pop-ups. The idea for a jewelry line of emerald and citrine pieces mounted in gold starting at $4,000, was born in 2010, when the Beverly Hill based jeweler, Robert Procop teamed up with Jolie to launch it.
“We’re designing things she would wear, that she really truly loves,” Procop told the New York Times. “Then we sell them and give 100 percent to charity.”
Procop had a long history with the couple since he met Jolie in 2000. He’s helped Jolie design Christmas gifts for Pitt and along with Brad Pitt, he has designed Angelina’s $1 million engagement ring.
Last year in April, Angelina had showcased her jewelry collaboration during an expo at Julien’s Gallery in Beverly Hills. This time around at France, the exhibition has added some other jewels to the existing collection. “It’s the one place where everyone loves to spend their summer,” Robert explained of the decision to display the jewels in France.
A range of necklaces, earrings and bracelets worn by the actress at various movie premieres will hit the Grand Hotel in Cap Ferrat and Monaco‘s prestigious Hotel de Paris concurrently between July 15 and August 15.
Robert is planning to launch Angelina’s limited-edition collection at select boutiques in countries including America, Russia, China and Turkey in September. The pieces have previously only been sold by private appointment.
“We’re looking for quality jewellers who have a heart for the charity as well,” he explained.
All proceeds from the line will go to Angelina’s charity, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. [Robert Procop]
