In 1952, 13 Porsche drivers established the world’s first Porsche Clubs in Germany, and this year to mark the 60th anniversary, the Stuttgart automaker has launched the first big special edition model of the new 911, the car we know as the 991. The Club Coupe will be limited to just 13 examples (matching the number of original founding club members), but one of them will be kept for Porsche’s own collection. So there’s only 12 units available on sale for some lucky Porsche club members via an online lottery.
The 911 Club Coupe is based on the Carrera S, but actually has more power since it comes as standard with the Powerkit that lifts output to 430 PS. Porsche boasts that with the help of the PDK gearbox, the 911 Club Coupe sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds, which is pretty impressive. It is also pretty much fully loaded and has some extra stuff as well, such as Sport design package, special ‘Brewster Green’ paint, 20-inch SportTechno wheels, Espresso natural leather interior with contrasting stitching, illuminated door sills and of course lots of badges and logos to remind every viewer this ain’t no ordinary arse-engined Porsche, it’s a Club Coupe.
If want to purchase one of the remaining custom-made Porsche 911 Club Coupe’s priced at €142,831 ($175,580) each, members may register between May 26 and July 16, 2012, after which the twelve lucky winners will be determined by means of an official lucky draw.
