World’s most expensive black diamond dress was shown at the Fairmont Hotel in Monte Carlo on 14th June. Valued at £3.5million ($5.5 million), elegant and glamorous dress is all the work of Debbie Wingham, a celebrity dress designer from Amersham, England. It’s not just world’s most expensive, it is also the only black diamond dress ever created.
This luxury creations is made of 50 flawless two-carat black diamonds (25 on the peplum and 25 on the shoulder shrug), a centre piece of five-carat black diamonds, and a border of white pointer diamonds inlaid with white gold. Total weight of the dress is a whopping 13 kilograms. The dress has taken about 6 months worth of hand-finished detail.
30 year old, English haute couture designer, Debbie Wingham is known for her lavish and extravagant dresses. Just a few years ago, Debbie was living in Los Angeles and had red carpet clients such as Kate Winslet, Hilary Swank and Dita Von Teese in her order book. But after meeting her future husband she moved back to England and her career took second place to motherhood. She is currently working on an exclusive diamond jeans collection.
