The 1963 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder has starred in a number of films. Perhaps most noticeable when Cameron Diaz driving it in the 2003 Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, this amazing vintage car has become one of the world’s most expensive cars for sale after an English dealer, Ascot-based Talacrest put it on the market for whopping £5 million ($8 million).
Regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever built, it is one of the finest collaborations in engineering history – with Enzo Ferrari enlisting Pininfarina to design the model and Scaglietti to build it.
This particular model, which is number 53 of 55 built, originally was was grey but it was later resprayed red and it has now been restored to its original colour. It comes with four-speed gearbox, and has a 0-60mph in just eight seconds and has a top speed of 149mph. It also features a 3-litre V12 engine which develops 280bhp.
