Aruna Seth continues the tradition of creating unique shoes in honor of the great events. After launching limited edition shoes to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, a Hackbridge-based designer has designed a collection of shoes inspired by the 2012 Olympics. This unique shoes are covered with more than 3,000 crystals and feature a color pattern that resembles the Olympic symbols. These gorgeous shoes inspired by the big games are on display at Harrods and are all limited edition with only ten pairs available to buy.
Aruna Seth also designed a set of butterfly platform style shoes, inspired by Olympic medals, in the gold, silver and bronze colors. This elegant shoes, ideal for special occasions, priced at £3,000 ($4,200) come handcrafted from Venice that Seth describes as the “best place to make women’s shoes”.
Currently on display at the London Harrods, these “British collector’s item”, have already attracted great interest. Aruna Seth quoted: “We’re delighted to see London hosting the London Olympics. The wedges inspired by the Olympic symbol which represents each of the five continents of the world has been designed to unite shoe lovers internationally.”
